As you may have heard, a freak accident claimed the life of Elizabeth "Liz" Watkins yesterday during a match at the Perth Hockey Stadium.  During the match she was struck in the head by a ball and passed away.

On behalf of Hale, I have conveyed our deepest condolences and support to Elizabeth's family, friends and clubmates through flowers to her family, and a letter of support to her Club.

In a show of support, and in respect for Liz, could I please request that all Hale Members all wear a black armband during the next round of matches this coming week?

NCR and the family are requesting that as many people as possible make it down to PHS on Friday night (8:30pm) to support the NCR 1s Women in their first game after this tragic event.  There is already a large contingent of Haleians going to show their support, so please consider coming along and joining.

Just a gentle reminder about match fees (gate entry fees), which need to be paid by each individual team when they turn up for their match at their respective ground.

Please remember that these match fees are to be paid by the team on the day; most grounds charge $75 for Seniors and $50 for Juniors.
