Hale Hockey Club Junior program caters for boys and girls from 5 to 18 years.
Players from Year 5 to Year 12 of all levels of ability are welcome to participate in weekend competition.
Children turning 9 this year have the opportunity to participate in an Under 9 Half field competition on a Saturday mornings (venue TBC) as well as the Minkey program on Friday afternoons.
Our Minkey program is aimed at children from 5 – 9 years of age, focussing on the development of skills and early game concepts and most importantly having fun. Minkey is held on Friday afternoons at Hale Hockey Club from 4.15-5.15pm where all participants rotate between grass and the Aqua Turf.
In 2009 HHC fielded 13 teams in Hockey WA competitions with all teams being competitive in every age group from A, B or C grade thanks to our first class coaching staff, facilities and parental support. Eighty plus children participated in an innovative Minkey Program implemented by expert and celebrity coaches.
The Hale Hockey Club aim is to provide all players with the opportunity to reach their potential, both as individuals and team members.
We anticipate 2010 to be another successful year in the life of our longstanding club and we welcome all new and existing members.
Junior Registration Day is on Saturday 20th February at the HHC clubrooms. Junior competition commences in the first weekend in May.

Hello everyone - I trust you are all fit and healthy and are ready to go again for 2010.
If fitness is somewhat problematic there are fitness sessions available to all. On turf regular senior training sessions commence Tues March 9th – however there are many weekend and fitness sessions in operation across the board. So keep your eyes peeled on the web page for relevant information. Speaking of the web page – we have added a Members Section – the reason being that when updates occur on the webpage an email will be sent to registered members informing of such – so to keep super up to date become a registered member and you won’t miss a thing . Thanks Grant Watton for the suggestion. For anyone who wants to direct deposit their registration fees please contact me by email and I will provide you with the correct amount required, bank details and a reference number. Also important information in regard to gaining some new high quality protection for your chops is available – Shane McCamish from Custom Mouthguards will be at Rego Day 2 – please complete the attached form and return so we can run Shane off his feet. For all your Hockey equipment needs FHE will have the mobile shop here on Rego Day 2.

The senior season starts after Easter – so to make sure we can cater for you it is essential that you register are financial by the end of Rego Day 2. Senior Team nominations for 2010 must be in with HWA very soon It is undesirable to guess what we teams we will enter – so we will enter on the numbers registered and paid. Junior Team nominations are due mid March. For all Minkey participants from last year and those aspiring to participate once you reach the minimum height requirement of 3 feet. Stay tuned for announcements on that – the designated Minkey Registration days will be on in late March. (Ethan Jackson – don’t worry I have your players medal) And finally a date to keep in mind is Friday Feb 26th we will be hosting a Women’s International Friendly between South Korea and Australia ‘A’ at 11am. Preseason training has started and is in full swing. Running sessions for the Women are on Tuesday and Thursday are from 6:30 till 7:30, either at Hale HC or at other venues (details to be announced on website or via email).
